FREE MATH LESSON - “Handwriting Practice Race to Write Numbers 7 Minute Whiteboard Video”

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser.

This free video lets you try out Race to Write Numbers to 20. Students have one minute to write the number as many times as they can. They circle the neatest one, show a friend, then erase their board. Next, they have a minute and a half to draw a picture with a prompt about the number. They show a friend their drawings and erase boards before writing the number word as many times as they can in one minute. This is fun because kids are racing the clock. They are held accountable for their writing because they will show it to a friend before erasing. These are sure to become a class favorite.

Each video is approximately 7 minutes long. These are terrific for transitions or as a warm-up for your lesson.

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Large Colorful Alphabet Cards for Making Words (Freebie!)”

These cards were designed to be used with making words activities in your classroom. Each letter card is the size of an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper.

Print out the letters. (All 26 Upper and Lower case are included. Also, at the very end I included a “fancy” e that could be used when spelling words with silent e. I laminated ‘e’ with the fancy ‘e’ on the back.)

I suggest printing on cardstock and laminating for extra durability.

Use these letter cards to practice spelling words, phonics skills or sight words! Pass out letters to students and call out a word. Have the students who have a letter in that word come to the front of the class and arrange themselves to spell the word. Have fun making words!

When printing, make sure you select “Fit to Page” to ensure borders are not cut off!

FREE MATH LESSON - “3rd Grade Math Spiral Review | Free”

Daily spiral math review is a perfect way to help your students stay sharp in math. I developed this resource out of a need for a good spiral math review. I was scouring the internet for good spiral sheets, but was always spending so much time searching! Now, I've created this resource to put the endless internet searches to an end.

This resource will be part of a growing bundle to include 36 weeks of daily spiral math review.

Since its a free sample of the first 3 weeks in the THIRD trimester (weeks 25-27).

Currently, this resource includes:

• Free 3 week sample of daily spiral math review sheets
• Free 3 week sample of weekly spiral math quizzes
• Student data tracking sheet
• Student graphs so they can track their quiz progress
• Free 3 week sample the THIRD TRIMESTER of 3rd-grade math
• Includes a digital Google Form version, perfect for distance learning.
• Pacing guide
• This can be used as daily homework, morning work, do now, sub work, etc.

TED Talks are a fantastic way to meet ELA Listening standards, and when combined with this graphic organizer, you can meet many other standards as well. The organizer requires that students summarize the talk, identify main ideas, analyze the speaker's motivation and effectiveness, make connections to our world and respond to the talk based on their own experiences.

TED Talks are extremely versatile. You could assign one as a whole class assignment, small group assignment, or individual assignment. They provide fantastic content for Socratic Seminars.
