FREE MISC. LESSON - “How to Hack Google Slides for Interactive Distance Learning”

by The Science Vault
Pre-Kindergarten - 12th Grade

Doing Blended Learning? I'll bet you have a great Google Slide presentations for a lesson full of animations you've created so that you don't overwhelm your students with a wall of text. You've also got a Google Docs note catcher that goes with the lesson. Sharing the slideshow in Google Classroom or Schoology means students just flip through the slides, not benefitting from the animations. If the student goes into "Present" mode, they lose access to the digital note catcher.

In this free tutorial, discover three ways to use Google's features to share your slideshow in "Present" mode, BUT inside the browser. Students will still have access to their other tabs, bookmarks, and extensions AND still benefit from your carefully crafted presentation.

These are pretty cool tricks for presenting face-to-face too - especially if you need access to multiple tabs and bookmarks during your presentation.

Ready to take it up a notch? This helpsheet also includes links to a set of videos getting you started with screencasting your lessons.

In addition to this free tutorial, I have a growing library of online resources - you can find them here:
