Halloween and candy go hand in hand, so why not use candy to make math a little sweeter? Let’s explore some fun and educational math activities centered around candy corn for 2nd and 3rd graders.

Candy Corn Patterns
1. Provide your child with a handful of candy corn.
2. Ask them to create different patterns using the candy corn pieces. They can make alternating colors or even more complex patterns.

Addition and Subtraction
1. Use candy corn as counters for simple addition and subtraction problems.
