Valentine Fractions is not a “drill and kill” fraction activity, but instead is a five-page resource that is a fun and engaging way for students to be involved and focused while identifying and reducing fractions to lowest terms. If each fractional part is correctly identified, when the students write the fractional parts on the lines provided, a new word is created. Each group of new words becomes a Valentine message.
