This pumpkin glyph for fall or Halloween is an excellent activity for reading and following directions, and requires problem solving, communication, and data organization. The students color or put different items on a pumpkin based on information about themselves. Students are to finish the pumpkin glyph using seven categories.

Throw away all other sight word sets! These are the 50 most important, research-based, high frequency, irregular sight words beginning or troubled readers need to know. Decoding in English is 95% regular, but exceptions often confuse them. Don’t overload their memory capacity. When these words are mastered, you will be pleasantly surprised as student decoding, fluency, and comprehension improve quickly. Uses all modalities—visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, and includes a great Bingo game!
