FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Poetry: 21 Ways to Celebrate National Poetry Month”

April is National Poetry Month. With this FREE product, Middle School and High School students don their Poet hats to show their understanding of various poem formats and of a variety of poetic elements.

These daily ideas may be used a Warm-Ups or Bellringers, as mini-lessons or for a class period. Teachers can choose to have students keep their writings in a journal, or to type them up and compile them into a booklet-title of their own choosing, with teacher permission- and showcase them with found or original art, photography, or graphics.

Let this celebration of poetry be your springboard for April.
