Free Winter Creative Writing Activities
Lighten up the winter blues with these fun creative writing activities for the winter season. Correlated to the Common Core State Standards for Writing, this 13-page document (nine student handouts and two pages for examples & teacher's guide) includes poetry prompts, short story activities and prompts, and a fun narrative prompt using Twitter for inspiration.
As always, I like to create activities that will appeal to a wide range of students. These will be appropriate for ages 10 and up, though some of the activities may need to be modified for younger students.
