These vocabulary pages are meant to teach the words reuse, reduce, and recycle deeply.
I like to model technology, so I show my students how to use an online dictionary or thesaurus. As we research the meaning of these words as a class, I have students practice their speaking and listening skills by sharing their thinking. My students love to share the sentences that they write using a synonym.
Students can then use these pages as a springboard for writing about ways they can reduce, reuse, and recycle.
