FREE MISC. LESSON - “Songs for Storytime, Circle Time and Attention”

Enjoy these copyrighted songs and “attention-getters”. The songs are fun to use anytime during Circle Time or as an introduction to Storytime. 

I use the “Come with Me” song to go around and collect children from centers when they are taking too long to clean up. Just grab a child’s hand and begin to form a train as that child grabs another hand etc. Finish up by forming a circle at the carpet and have the children sit down ready for a story.

Use the attention chants and songs whenever you are transitioning or when you need to bring attention back to you. From the book Tunes for Teachers….Teaching Thematic Units, Thinking Skills, Time-on-Task and Transitions, also listed on TpT.
