This is a fantastic resource for teaching discrimination, segregation, prejudice and equality. Although this was a lesson originally created for Black History Month, I've found that it can be used throughout the year to touch on these important topics. Read the reviews below and take a look at the preview on TpT for understanding of what included in this product.

"I have purchased many items from teachers pay teachers.. but this was definitely the BEST quality. There is so much information that I could use this for a whole week to a month during black history. Thank you so much for your hard work." - TpT Buyer

"I would like to share with everyone that I'm always looking for new ways to introduce the concepts of history regarding segregation and discrimination. When I found this lesson, I didn't have high hopes that the students would make the connection between black history month and this book - however, the students amazed me with their insight and connection to both topics. As long as I'm an elementary teacher, I will be making this connection every year for my students! Awesome concept!! Thanks for the resource." - TpT Buyer

"I absolutely LOVE this download!!! It was extremely useful when I was planning my Black History Month lesson for a 3rd grade class. I love the amount of pages provided with activities, worksheets, ideas, etc. for just $8! That is amazing. Thank you SO much!!!" - TpT Buyer
