Guided notes and examples will keep students engaged as they fill in the blanks to complete notes and examples.
1st Activity – Find solutions of equations and inequalities by substituting values from a given set of numbers in the equations or inequalities. This activity does not include solving equations using inverse operations.
2nd Activity – Write verbal expressions as algebraic expressions.
Group Activity – Each group will have cards with constants, variables and operation symbols. They will model the situation given on a student handout using the cards. Suggestions on how to conduct the activity are in the resource.
