This free product provides an entertaining and educational way to introduce student to idioms. It is formatted so you can easily reproduce it with a front-to-back format.
Included are explanations and examples of idioms, followed by twenty prompts that ask students to “translate” nonsensical phrases into commonly used idioms. Also included is a separate answer key.
This classroom-tested activity has been used successfully in middle school, high school, and college classes.
