This product contains three activities consistent with Common Core State Standards 4.G.1, 4.G.2, 4.G.3. All activities engage students to discover and learn concepts in geometry.
Activity 1 - Students identify points, lines, line segments, rays, and angles (right, acute, obtuse). See preview.
Activity 2 - Students classify 2-dimensional figures according to parallel or perpendicular lines and angles. They must find a missing angle that is part of a right angle in a figure.
Activity 3 - One page of teacher led introduction is included in this activity. Students must draw a line of symmetry given 12 different shapes. Included are enlarged copies of these 12 shapes which may be copied for the student to use as manipulatives to be folded. Students will check to see if they drew a correct line of symmetry by cutting out and folding the shapes along the line of symmetry.
