Civil War Weapons and Battles Webquest
Students will gain basic knowledge about the Civil War by completing an internet-based worksheet. The Civil War Weapon and Battles Webquest uses an amazing virtual museum website by Smithsonian National Museum of American History. The website allows students view historical artifacts and gives a basic overview of the conflict.
Click on 'Civil War' on the webpage
The webquest contains one hundred and ten questions and is a great way to introduce or review key facts and events related to the Civil War. An answer sheet is included for the teacher.
My students love examining and reading about the Civil War weapons, leaders, and battles from the website. I usually use this webquest as an introduction or review activity for my students and it takes most students at least two class periods to complete the webquest. Feel free to modify this activity if needed to fit the needs of your students.
